Application Centre for Renewable Resources

ACRRES

ACRRES is an acronym for Application Centre for Renewable REsources and is the national applied research centre for sustainable energy and green raw materials. The applied research centre is a joint effort of the Lelystad research institutes Applied Plant Research and the Animal Sciences Group, both part of Wageningen UR, and ENECO. Both, the Province of Flevoland and Lelystad support the ACRRES-initiative.

Applied Plant Research (PPO)

Wageningen UR

Applied Plant Research conducts research through co-innovations with partners from the different agricultural sectors, sciences, industry and government. Together with clients PPO analyses questions regarding farm and crop management and translates these into applied research and development programmes.

Insect Europe BV

Promotion, sales and breeding of edible insects

Insect Europe BV produces and sells edible insects for human and animal consumption. 

Through the webstore DeliBugs they sell a wide range of insects for human consumption and will expand their international business from Lelystad.

World Ento

Supplier of edible insect ingredients in the US

With a product emphasis on convenience and quality, they work to develop the US Ento market and provide support infrastructure to other Ento companies. 

On an international scale, World Ento represents the US and makes market and product development data available to the international community. Always on the hunt for more scientific and commercial partners, World Ento is committed to building a safe, sustainable, and social Ento industry in the US
